Hey guys my name is Kurt i have a 2016 super crew 5.slow and looking at doing some modifications to it. i have a couple questions if yall dont mind answering them for me

1) been doing some reading about swamping the intake to a boss intake. seems like everyone is going that route i was thinking about going one step furture and possiabley going with a cobra jet intake does anyone no if that happens to be a direct bolt on if not i guess i will go the boss route i have just seen where people have been losing low end torque with the boss set up

2) i see that stainless works sells long tubes headers for my truck. going that route may make up the torque lose from going to the boss intake

3) for the cold air intake i am thinking about going with the afe or jlt cold air intake system

4) tuning of choice i beleive may possiabley be mpt tuning just because they seem to be making the most power out of these 5.0 engines and im hoping that with these few bolt ons i can make in the neighborhood of 400+ rwhp. im also interested in going with forced induction later on down the road im not really wanting to go the super charger route cause it takes power to make power when turbo kits become more affordable then ill knock the dust off this s475 and see about bolting her up to my right

thanks guys i hope the grammer police take it easy on me

Welcome to the forum Kurt! 5Star tuning is your answer. They give discounts to forum members and can custom tune your ride for what you add to it. And free tunes for life after from what I've heard. Plus they have exhaust and intake kits with tunes so you can get exactly what you want. Jersey Joe on here should chime in soon. He knows all about the 5.0, 5Star, and what mods to do to make you go fast. His is supercharged as well and he'll try and talk you into that route lol. Nice to see someone move up from Chevy and join the blue side.

Thank you guys for the welcome. Ya rhino I've had a few try to talk me in the charger direction I just don't care to lose power to make power. Yes I no you gain a lot but with turbos you loss nothing other then the weight of the charger. Plus I already have a charger on the shelf to put on it that come off my diesel

**** yo spelling!

Jk. Welcome.

More 5.0 fans on this forum than you might think.
I can't speak to that, because I used to have the Eco, loved the performance, obviously, it outperforms the 5.0 in stock trim. Reliability, that is where it is struggling hard right now as its flaws are becoming very very apparent

Get the Cobra Jet intake and headers. Simply because it's awesome. I'm sure the power is there too.

You already found the Cobra Jet intake yourself, I'm pretty sure you have what it takes to build a sweet truck without idiots like me talking.

Yes the cobra jet intake is cool. But I think it makes better love to the boss intake. Yes. They all just bolt up. But. If u want more power. It already sounds like boost is your friend. It is also mine. My 5.o hasn't been beat yet lol. I would have been on here earlier to invite u. For that I'm sorry. We've had some serious family issues. Any advice u need. Or anyway I can help. I'd b glad too. Again. Welcome to the nation!!!
