2000 4.2 high idle, no temp gauge, rich mix

Have a 4.2 that is idling high, sometimes starts really low then revs up to about 2500 for a few minutes. Temp gauge isn't working. Mix is really rich and sometimes I have to sink the pedal down to shut down injectors just to start it.

Changed the cylinder head sensor and still no luck. Cleaned everything else we can think of. Can't see any vacuum leaks so far.

Any ideas?
