I see salt and instantly think of a girl with herpes- that stuff needs to get rinsed off with some "medication" right away!

I guess that's why people were washing there car in 15 degree weather while I was driving through Colorado? Does that clear coat stuff help keep the paint up better?

Yes it does, as long as you take care of the clear coat, it takes care of your paint. Plus it gives a little more shine to it lol.
