View Full Version : Refinishing bullet hole rims

I have decided to refinish my aluminum rims. My plan into strip the clear coat and polish. Has anyone here gone through this process? If so, any advice? I did a test spot. You can see the corrosion where the clear coat had peeled before. I stripped the front wheel this afternoon. It's looking great. I now have to wet sand and polish them. Why not? My back windows r 5% and my driver and passenger are 35%. Keeps enough of the sun out that it doesn't bother me. And the all important reason why I did it was. All the new hid lights drive me nuts. Well... Not anymore lol. Go for it. It looks great on white that's for sure. Good luck
