My dad's got a 2013 Platinum and it's time for new tires. He's also looking to upgrade in size. What would be the biggest tire size that would be safe for these rims? Stock size is 275/55r20 for reference, I think it's a 20x9 rim (his truck, not mine, so you guys would know better than I would

We're looking at the toyo open country a/t's. I'm reading that we can get away with a 275/65r20, but that the speedometer would need to be recalibrated?

Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk those are great tires as well. And the dealer should be able to do the recalibration for you. Not sure on the cost though.

I've been looking at that same setup but in 18", and not a Platinum lol. You will need the speedometer recalibrated because those tires will be larger than stock meaning they will have to complete less revolutions to make a mile. This will make your speedometer give you a few mph lower reading than your actual speed. It gets greater at higher speeds. A recalibration shouldn't be too expensive but if you have a tuner/programmer you can do it yourself.
