Timing 96 4.9

Not quite sure how to time my 96 Ford F-150 4.9

I have one but online people have been saying that the manual is wrong

I know it needs to be 10 degrees BTDC but I'm not sure what to time it off of there's timing marks on the timing cover but then there's a needle off the crankshaft position sensor then there two marks off the harmonic balancer
