Wiring a light bar with a switch?

I'm looking to buy a light bar but I'm new to it, what I need is a list of the things I need to buy, and instructions on how to wire it along with a diagram. Thanks.

hate to be "that guy" but google is your friend :) Wiring LED Light Bar (http://lightbarreport.com/wiring-led-light-bar/) found this pretty quickly, but i'm sure there are plenty more online. when you do it, it would be great for other members if you took photos and wrote a small "how-to". keep us updated!

I want to do something like this, a single row, 24inch light bar, I have the same grille, except chrome. And if you have any mounting ideas let me know, will I try to figure out the wiring.

Update: I now have a 20 inch light bar installed and wired, I took it somewhere and paid for it, but now I love it!
