Hey everyone. I hope some of you can learn from my mistake.
Last night some scumbag coward stole the tailgate from my truck. I never would have thought that would be on a thief's radar but, woke up this morning and there it was...gone. When I called the dealer they said I was the 3rd person in a month that has had the same thing happen. Then when I called the guy who sprayed my bed to get a price to do the tailgate, he told me he has done 4 in the last 2 weeks for the same reason.
I'm glad I was sitting down when I got the quote for the replacement - $2400.00CDN. I am pretty sure insurance will cover it but what a pain in the a$$.
Anyway kids, just a reminder to lock that tailgate even if you don't have a tonneau cover. Apparently there is a market for these things.
