That's cool. There are a few people
From ks on here. It's really a piece of cake. I've never heard it that way. It's usually. People with the straight 6 usually want the 302. Lol. Not that it is a bad thing. But just out of Curiosity. Why the switch? Your going to need the computer for the new engine. It's been awhile. But u may have to purchase or make motor mounts. What kind of tranny do u have. It should bolt right up? Your instructor /professor/teacher. What ev u have lol. Should b able to help u perfectly. As well as us. This is an easy swap. Well. Nothing is easy. But it's really not that hard.

So. As it sits right now. What is it that u would like to know.

Lol I have that backwards I have the 1994 4.9L and switch to the 1995 302 lol. And I have different truck I'm pulling the 302 out of. 94 has a E40D transmission and the 95 has a AOD transmission and the 95 is a longbox as of my 94 being a short box. As of that I know I will have to see if I'll need different tranny yolks and adjust the exhaust down with the short box

----------

I am from Texas. My 4.9 is shot and breaks down and spins the bearing after driving it 40 miles. And I want to put a v8 in with a good exhaust that's all.

One hurdle you have is the AOD utilizes a TV cable to adjust the pressures in the transmission. If not set up correctly you can burn it up in no time. I think they stopped production of AOD's in 93, at least in Mustangs. If you can find the correct factory TV cable setup for your application than that would help you out a lot. If not look at lokar products for an aftermarket one. EAOD is electronic AOD, uses a module that interfaces with you PCM to control pressures and shift points. This would require all the correct components and wiring harnesses. Or a good amount of sit down time with some wiring schematics. Baumann transmissions makes a stand alone controller for the EAOD, they also do quite a bit with the AOD's. Also check out Click Click racing forum for a wealth of information on both transmissions.

From infinity and beyond.

Never argue with a Moron, they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Would it be smarter to pull tranny and engine at same time Or engine than tranny? And I just prepped the engine to be pulled tomorrow just need to know if it would e quicker to pull both at same time or separate

Man I'm sorry it took so long to get to u. But. Either way. If I was doing it I would drop the tranny first Why? Because "I" think it's easier to pull the motor straight up. Rather than tilt it out with the tranny attached. I've done it both ways tranny on and off. I feel it's easier to yank the tranny first if u have access to a lift and hoist which I did so I utilized it.
