If you are experiencing a low pitched intake moan at lower throttle you will fund thus issue to be very simple to repair.

I have an AirRaid cold air intake installed. I purchased my F-150 new in 2004 and installed it the next day.

I removed the intake and the throttle body. 5 bolts for the intake and 4 bolts for the throttle body.
Once the throttle body was in my hand I took this pic.....

I used throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush and it came clean very easily....

I then removed the MAF sensor and sprayed electrical part cleaner into each slot making sure to focus on thr sensors. DO NOT TOUCH THEM. Once sprayed well blow it dry with air on low pressure.

I put it all back together, connected my negative cable and went for a test drive.

PERFECT.

Good Luck with your repairs.

Question, you said you disconnected your negative battery cable, was that because you cleaned your MAF, or do you have to do it even when cleaning only the throttle body too? Just curious cause I'm probably gunna do this this weekend along with flushing my transmission and brakes, and installing my programmer lol.

I did mine and didn't disconnect anything but the MAF. Just don't spray urs without disconnecting it.

Yeah so disconnecting the battery is not required. I figured that out after disconnecting it lol. Yeah and that blows because then the truck has to relearn everything. My fuel gauge is off a little now too, is that normal. It started off about a quarter tank fuller, but has come down to around only 2-3gallons fuller. Will it eventually correct itself? I already drove it 15 or so miles.

Yup, finished it today. Hopefully after cleaning that and those leaves from the air inlet, I'll get a little better performance and mpg...maybe lol.
