I don't know really anything about my differential or gears or how to find out what I have. I want to make the both back wheels spin at the same time. I heard that it is called positraction... What would I have to do to make it positraction?

There should be an axle code on the driver door where the sticker with the VIN and other vehicle is. Find it and google it and that'll tell you what kind of differential and gear ratio you have.

Got an axle code of 18. Looked it up and it said the ratio is 3.08. But what about the wheel spin? Does that mean only one wheel spins?

Yup. Open dif...one tire fire! H7 may be an axle worth looking for at a junkyard. 3.31 gears, limited slip...usually axles bolt right in. Just a thot

Okay. So open diff is one tire spinning. Limited slip means that both spin. Understood. What about the gearing. Mine is a 3.08 and you say a 3.31. What's the difference? Is the 3.31 better for speed? Sorry, but I don't really understand the gear ratio? Is larger number better or smaller numbers?

That means I have to get a whole different axle? I couldn't put the gears I want from one into my axle I already have? 1995 Ford F-150 302

Yes you could just put the gears in. I think. But you need the LS carrier or something. Don't know much but I'm trying to help. In the past, it's usually cheaper to buy an axle and bolt it right in than a gear swap

Theres a limit to that lol, thats why you see off-road beasts with 4.30's yet muscle cars stay around or lower than 3.73 for the most part. Higher gears are good for torque.

I'm wanting a good ratio that will give my truck a little more acceleration and top end. Since it's 2wd I wanna go for a sort of sleeper. Would the 3.31 suffice for that? I was watching a video on YouTube about gear swaps to see how involved it was. This was a 2005 f150. At the end they used a programmer of some sort to recalibrate the speedometer. Is there a way to recalibrate speedometer on a 1995 f150? If I do the gear swap I at least wanna know how fast I'm going.... Don't want any speeding tickets. Lol.
