I was trying to figure out some sort of mount for my Escort Passport so I didn't have to keep swapping the suction cup mount and power plug from car to car. I had an extra Garmin GPS windshield suction mount and plastic disc laying around and boggy a hardwire kit and came up with this........

I took the part that snaps onto the GPS and cut the Clips/Tabs off to make it flat. Then took some thin double sided foam tape and stuck it to the bottom. (That way I can still use either mount)

After that, I can now attach it to the "Windshield suction mount"

Then I removed the useless adhesive tape from the plastic disk, added some new doubled sided foam tape and stuck it on the dash and attached the Suction mount to to the plastic disk.

(Note: The pictures are not of my truck, but I only had one plastic disk, so i just did this in my commuter car since its my daily driver. But the whole set up is transferable to any vehicle)

I appreciate and welcome any questions, comments and opinions. This was just a Spur of the Moment idea. It's what happens when your sitting at work on a slow day and boredom kicks in. I made it all at my desk with a Leatherman tool and (s)crap laying around my car. Lol
