Bed Extenders?

Maybe someone can answer this. With "Rotating" bed extenders, will one from any full size truck, fit on another full size truck? (i.e. from a Silverado to an f150. Toyota Tundra to Dodge Ram, etc.)

I would assume no, just like the other parts of a truck, bed are made with different sizes and specifications. I would think that the bed hook holes where you would attach the bed extender would not line up.
