Well for that, we need more info on your truck. Year, 4X4 or 2WD, and if it's a 4X4 does it have the off-road package?

Wouldn't you just go down to your local ford dealer and get a set if you know you want OEM? Or are you trying to find them cheaper than dealer?

Or you could order them right off line from ford and have them shipped to your door

4wd and I'm not sure the shocks are white and it has skid plates on the fuel tank

Does it say FX4 Off-Road on the sides of the bed? Anyways it sounds like you have the off-road package because of the skid plates. If it was the same as what they use now with it, they're Rancho's, I'd look into getting some of those or some Bilstein's because they both work well and Ford uses them depending on what vehicle and setup you get.

Tow package doesn't affect shocks lol. Tow package is just an upgraded radiator, transmission oil cooler, a hitch and wiring harness, and a tow/haul button for the transmission. You just have a plain 4X4 then, no Off-Road package, but either way that's where I'd look for shocks, Bilstein or Rancho.

Yeah, you just have a plain 4X4, I still recommend those shocks though, probably the same price as buying the OEM ones from Ford.

I think it has a open rear end beacasue the only time I've had to use 4wd was in snow beacasue the back tires just spun I don't do much off roading ( none at all ) so I'm just going to look at factory ones thanks for the input

Open rear end? You mean non-limited slip? Nope, if you buy a 4X4 they put either a limited slip or a new electronic locking rear end. They don't put nls rear ends on 4X4's. And that's fine then.

That's actually not true. They make 4x4 with open diffs. Both of my trucks have open diff. Limited slip was an option along with elocker.
But like they said, blistiens or ranchos. I got Ranchos on my explorer and love them.

No offense to you or your trucks but it just seems kind of pointless to have nls on a 4X4 IMO. If you get stuck 4WD isn't going to help because you're just going to spin.

I completely understand. I don't agree with it, but for an on the road 4x4, it's cheaper. You have to think of it from the manufacturers point of view. Not everyone that buys a 4x4 will ever use it.
Look at your axle tag. That will tell you if it's LS or not.

Oh mines a 2WD with nls I know that, I barely go off the road with it lol maybe some gravel and hard packed sand. And very true, but it just seems like if you're gunna spend the extra for 4WD you'd plan on using it eventually lol.

You would think that. But how many times have you seen a 4x4 or even f250 and higher go unused. There is a good portion of people who by trucks as a status, and they never leave the pavement or even never tow a think in their life.

True, you do have a pretty valid point there. I just don't get spending the money on something unless you have a use for it though.
