I have a 1995 F150 and the gauge cluster has the speedometer, voltage gauge, gas gauge, oil pressure, and the temperature gauge. I am contemplating switching out the gauge cluster to the year model that had the tachometer in it. I am asking for opinions, whether or not the tach will work with my wiring harness, and has anybody done this before? If so, what was the difficulty of the job? Thanks Guys!

Rob look at a wiring diagram of both and compare them you should be able to tell if its wired for it.

Also you have to see what time inputs are. On my explorer the speedo is controlled by a gear and cable. On my f150 it's controlled with a sensor and wire. And the wifes fusion is controlled with a controller called CAN BUS.

In my 1998, it is a direct swap. Both have the same hookups, plugs, etc. One just does not read the tach wire. I am unsure if the 9th gens are the same
