WHat are everyones thoughts on coolant change out? Good for 100k right? I have 06 with 75k on it- should I at least have it checked? Or is it just replace it now being 8 yrs old?

My '05 only has 65,600 miles and I had mine flushed last summer at around 63-64,000. It was eight years old, I figured it wouldn't hurt to flush the coolant and whole system, plus a local Ford dealership had a really good special for it too. Ford recommend every 2 years or 30,000 miles I believe, definitely every 2 years they recommend, I'm not sure about the mileage number though, I'd have to check my scheduled maintenance sheet. But I wouldn't change it every 2 years lol. Anyways, I'd recommend you having your coolant changed.

I remember 100000 miles and go in to dealer still for service never was mentioned i will ask tomorrow when i am in for oil change. Did trans at 30k and 60k and fuel filters myself same mileage. Near mentioned to do and i think i asked once, but with age probably cheap insurance to change and maybe a hose or 2???

That's the way I look at it something so easy, better safe than sorry. I haven't changed the hoses at all though.

Hoses aren't necessary unless they are cracked or leaking. Don't fix it if it ain't broke lol.

I do a drain and fill, every fall on coolant, which I use DexCool[50-50 blend of coolant and distilled water], and every 30k miles, I do a drain and fill on power steering fluid, trans gear oil, rear axle gear oil, brake fluid, and clutch fluid.
