4x4 not working

My 4x4 is not working on my 2001 f150 you can hear the transfer case kick in but the front axle done what to kick in

So u have the electric system ?

Well there needs to be vacuum to the Hubs to engage them. U can see if there is vacuum gettin to them with a gauge. If vacuum is all there mostly the hubs seals are leaking and require new hubs. There is a solenoid that clicks over to allow vacuum to reach the hubs
