In my dash panel it now shows my park is now in (R) my reverse is now (N) my neutral is now (D) and my drive is in(2) and so on. It all moved one over. Is there anthing to do to fix this and get it back with out costing an arm and a leg?

There is a thin cable that runs from shift lever on column to the shift indicator. It may be streched or partially disconected.Remove the plastic panal on the driver side of the dash around the instrument cluster and check for tension or fraying and replace as necessary.

----------

Researched a little more . Under the dash there is a small black gear with what looks like a cable coming out of it. Adjust gear till indicator is alligned . Just look up f150 shift indicator calibration on you tube it gives a step by step. Let us know how you make out.

It should be, I don't think they change much. My '05 has the same setup, I don't see why your '03 wouldn't. Not the kind of technology they update, that is until they got to the LCD screens on the current generation.
