Have a 2006 f150 and I was thinking about getting dual electric fans to help the engine. Are they any good?? What's up with them??

Yes, the electric fans will help. They won't give you massive gains or anything, but taking away the strain of the factory belt driven fan will definitely free up some ponies and torque. If you're lucky, you might see a slight mpg increase, but I'm talking probably less than .5 mpg, nothing big but I guess every little bit helps. And if you get dual fans, it'll definitely keep your engine cooler because depending on the setup you get, it should be pulling more cfm's through the engine bay as compared to the stock fan. Check out autoanything.com, great selection of them and decent prices, except of course for the one that is explicitly made for our model years F-150 lol. But that website should give you some good info and feedback about what size and what one you want to get.

Yea like I'm not really doing it for horse power gains but just to make the engine run better

At least you're reasonable lol, some people think it'll give them another 100 hp or something haha. The electric fans will definitely do what you are looking for then.

Unless you got some very expensive fans, they won't pull more than the stock. I belive the stock pulls around 7,000 CFMs at full speed.

My setup is about 8 years old, did it my sophomore year in high school. Two Hayden Imperial 16 S-blade fans ($45 each), set on a Hayden Imperial 40A thermostat relay with A/C control and adjustable temp pot ($35) with $12 worth of aluminum strips and hardware from Lowe's. They were advertised for 1200CFM each. Mine is setup for 210*F on and 195*F off. They cycle beautifully with no hard start. I have them mounted to a dual-core radiator out of an F-250.

Really? I never knew the stock flow, is it seriously that much? Glad I never forked out the dough to get e-fans then lol.

Yeah its pretty ridiculous. I think when you first start the engine it goes full speed. Stick your hand in front and feel the suction.

That's good to find out finally, I was always curious about the stock cfm to see if e-fans had better flow.

Wait me are missing the biggest point. A fan delete doesn't give you 100 HP? It appears that muscle magazine have been lying to me all these years. LOL

I addressed that lol, and yes, contrary to popular marketing scams, you won't get 100hp lol
