Tuned right? 180hp. I'd do the cams anyway. But leave the squeeze fer ur hot rod. Cam heads High riser intake. Headers and a tune. You'll b over 500hp. Snappy fast. Big money fer a blower ya know. I did all the goodies to mine without the supercharger and I have 522hp at the crank runs 13.0's all day. Plenty of power in there. But remember. It's still a truck. Lol.

Bro. U ain't Hittin 12's with a 7 thousand pound truck without one. Lol. I would recommend ford racing parts fer starters. Plenty out there. My lightning bone stock did 12's. it's alot lighter than my beast. Lol. Like I said. Do ur research. U don't go fast by throwing money at it. Ur motor isn't cut out for squeeze anyway. Need new pistons and heads for that. Intake and supercharger kit from ford. And no other truck on the road. Other than mine of course will touch u. Lol. Tundra hemi killer. All day!!

The only good hemi was in the classic muscle cars, I never got the trucks with them lol. And please do beat your "friend" and his dodge lamb.

the only way to beat that hemi is to drop about 1,000 lbs from your truck or slap a supercharger on it

100lbs=10hp

losing 100lbs of weight is the same as adding on 10hp

Not to derail, but how much do these trucks weigh? I have a 2012 cclb with a EB. I'm just asking because I know that there are Superdutys out there that are around 7500lbs and I thought the 150's would be a lot lighter.

Hemi's are beasts, Dodge's are not. Just like in Dodge diesels, Cummins is a damn good engine, but Dodge trucks just have crappy quality.

I don't think F-150's weigh that much, just an exageration. I'm pretty sure my 05 only weighs in at just over 5,000lbs.

Well like I said, when muscle cars were actually muscle cars, Hemi's were decent, I wouldn't mind having a Hemi Cuda, or a Challenger or something of that sort lol. And cummins is decent, besides Ford owns part of them and uses them in the F-650's and F-750's if I'm not mistaken. But Dodge vehicles, along with Chrylser and Jeep are just s*** quality now-a-days.

Why would you think an F-150 weighs more than a Superduty?????

My F-150 tipped the scale at 3825# last month. I believe the newer trucks are in the 4,200-4,800lb range, with the 6.2L Raptors probably close to 5K

Actually, I think my 05 weighed in at 2 1/2 tons, but I have to look at the owners manual again, but I think it's around the 5,000lb mark.

You're looking at the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Your truck actually weighs about 5300# give or take 100lbs.

I'm pretty surprised Ford is getting the fuel eco numbers they are even with their trucks gaining weight every year. I'd bet $100 my little 3800# truck would EASILY hit 25-26mpg if I put an EcoBoost in it.

U get that truck in the 11's I personally come to La. Buy u a beer and shake your hand homes. Heads supercharger and a killer tourqe converter and you'll tip the scale.

Joe, what year is your Shelby? While it may have 1,000hp, you guys gotta keep in mind the Ferrari is a 200mph car meaning its brakes are meant to go 200mph, as is the transmission, cooling, etc etc. IIRC Shelbys are stock good for 160 (correct me if I'm wrong here Joe), so even if you have 5,000hp, your stock brakes, stock transmission, stock cooling system are not going to last long at 200 mph. Top Gear did a good review on this for people adding turbos to Civics and trying to outrun Lambos. Sure they could go fast, but those smoking brakes, screeching bearings, and torn up trannies are sure fun to LOL at!

Are you talking about that additive stuff? Its not mandatory, but some people use it. Its just like Seafoam or Gumout for us. Some like it, some dont. That being, I only use what I'm told, which is nothing more than regular 100LL AvGas or 87 octane automotive gas
