How to: Program a FOB key to a 2000 F150 NEED HELP ASAP

My buddy just bought a FOB key for his 2000 F150 XLT 2 door long bed 5.4L v8 and we need the steps to program it if anyone knows. We've already tried the turn the key 8 times process and it didn't work. We need to get it to work ASAP!

Go to YouTube and type in 2000 f150 key fob program and there is a step by step video

Hit lock and unlock on the door. Them cycle the key off and on 8 times ending in the on position.

Ok thank you guys very much. I just bought my first truck last Monday and my friend needed help with that aftermarket key. Here's a pic of my truck. 2002 F150 XLT extended cab 5.4L.
