when I got home today I noticed my exhaust was really hot and my catalytic was glowing red as can be and I have no idea what it would be

I would say u need to replace the CC because it's bad/going bad

I had the same issue on my old 2000 and replaced it and it took care of the issue

Yup they are restricted. Once u replace them. You need to check and make sure there isn't an underline issue.

I just cut a hole in it and scooped all of the honey comb stuff out and welded it back up so there would be no clog at all and I get a nice rumble to it lol and I'm going to sell the honey comb looking stuff for the platinum

On my 91 we cut it off then used a bar to get the **** out then welded it back up. Your right it really does sound really good when you leave the hollowed out cats on. On the 302s at least

Alot of people prefer the whole cat together tho is the only bad part. Junkyards and whatnot actually pay a pretty good penny for em too

Lol I have the 300 i6 and it kinda sounds like a pissed off bumble bee on steroids lol. I think I have a little bitty hole I forgot to weld up
