I don't know my brands too well but I would supercharge over turbo. When you punch it your power is there now, not after a few seconds of spooling up.

Turbo yields more power overall, but I would pick a S/C mainly for the noise. Turbo lag suuuucks. I used to drive an F-550 daily and when you stomped on it, she would be nothing but diesel power for about 3-4 seconds then BOOM goes 30psi and its off

What motor do u have. 5.4? 2.4 ford racing whipple supercharger. Best bang fer ur buck. And that motor. I've had plenty of hands on with this motor. Check it out brother

Listen. There is nothing wrong with a turbo for sure. But with that motor? Supercharger all the way. Big hp and big trq. Ford racing. Whipple. Ken bell. Roush. Shelby and many more have kits for your truck. Anyway you look at it. Either side u choose. 6-8,000 $. I would not recommend putting a syntrifcal blower on. I've seen my fair share of probs with those. Twin screw or whipple blower is the best bet for ur engine. Bar none. I've been fortunate enough to have my fair share of supercharged fords. I think this is the best bet for u

And sweet truck btw

Thank you for all the advice guys I think I'ma go with a supercharger in the near future. But I've also heard it will mess up my transmission??

Well when you suddenly gain lets say, just theoretically, over 100 HP and probably well over 100 ft-lbs. of torque as well, its going to have an effect on a transmission designed for stock power. It'll work for awhile but you'll probably burn up the torque converter eventually. Don't forget the internals of the engine either.

But then again since the 5.4 was used in the GT500 for awhile it might be ok. I'm not sure on that, Joe will have to answer that part for me.

Totally different engine. Few more valves. And the whole wet and dry sump. Same size in liters and cubic inch

Bumping up your trq converter will do the trick. And help out that power to the ground

When your ready to shell out the $$. Leme know brother. I'll help u every step if the way. It can get a little confusing at times but I won't let ya down.

It is a good kit. Not as much power as the rest tho. Is it new? Or is it used. If it's used. I stay away from it

Do you have the 4R70W or 4R100W trans? The number stands for its max torque. The 4R70W can handle 700 ft-lbs of torque while the latter is good for 1,000 ft-lbs.

None will be cheap lol. Check out Autoanything.com, I know they have a few supercharger kits for the 5.4 on there, one of which is Whipple I believe. That way you get the whole kit and can take advantage of the free shipping and usual 15% off from them as well (If it applies to those kits though).

That kit is a great kit I've seen a few mustangs Just not sure what kind of power your lookin for. One thing to b sure of bud. Where ever image your purchase. Make sure u have a warranty. That's important. That's what kinda makes me stay away from eBay. Like ryno said www.autoanything.com. Is awesome. Great site. If it was my truck. I would look at ford racing whipple. Little bit more money. Like 550. But it's way smoother to install. Ford makes the kit for your truck. Ford parts on a ford kinda line up better ya know. Nothin wrong with eldebrock at all. Made in America. And they stand behind there product. Just make sure if u purchase from eBay u get the eldebrock warrenty. If not. Call them direct and they will prob work with I on the price if eBay is cheaper. U just never know what your gonna get on eBay y know

I think Edlebrock had a kit on autoanything too, you get a warranty that way.
