Ok.my 16yr old girl is building a 81 mustang notch back.its all drag.10pt cage 8.8 rear end with 4.56 gears. C4 with a transbrake. Now the motor is a 347 eagle forged crank eagle I Been rods srp forged 10.1 piston. The cam she wants is a comp cams part # 248HR-14XFI the heads she picked are Edelbrock victor jrs and the intake is a Victor Jr. With a holly 750 carb its been way to long for me I have know idea if this is a good setup or not.she will be spraying 150-250 to it.let me know what you think.

Well ya its her car.she is paying for every thing her self.she isn't new to racing. She has done 4wheeler and go kart and dirt bikes.she started building this thing when she was 13.works summers at a auto shop to pay for it.

Wow god bless that little girl. That is awesome man. But do me a fav get rid of that 8.8. Ain't gonna hold up to good. She needs a 9 inch fer sure. Daddy's little girl don't need to b breaking axles at 60 foot ya know? Get on that lol. Wish all u gear heads lived closer. Love to help. I'm a double dipper too. I got one loud and proud bad ass gt500. Goin for the fast 2nd gen in the world. And I'm almost there.

You'll get there Joe!!

And yes, like Joe said, lose the 8.8 rear, I'm not an expert on anything racing but that's the same size rear I have with 3.55 gears on my truck. You'll need a bigger rear end for sure.

Thanks guys.we will look into the 9" my big concern is the motor build. The heads cam and intake are a lot of money! And im afraid that it wont give her what she wants .the 347 stroker is built solid so I want to make sure the rest of the motor complement it the right way.

Basically she. Is shooting for the 500 hp mark on the motor. She has started with a 347 stroker filled with a forged crank eagle I Beem rods an srp 10.1 forged pistons . Now she thinks a set of Victor jr heads and intake with a comp cams 248HR-14XFI cam will get her there.i want to know will it ?

Probably closer to 400 than 500. But with that being said theres always carb set up, exhaust set up, fuel system, stuff like that to consider so its hard to say really.

Ok so no matter what we really won't be able to know tell its built and in the car and we dyno it.

Have to have the right computer program or whatever to do that. Speed shop should be able to but yeah to be 100% accurate you'll have to get it in the car and dyno it

It will be carved. With a 6ALL box.there's nothing to program.I wouldn't think.
