I have a 04 F150 and on my right side it's making a ticking noise from the valve I found on YouTube where a guy was removing the oil restrictor and it had something in it and I was thinking if I do the same would it stop the noise or is it something else. I changed the oil and added some Lucas oil stabilizer to it. Can someone help?

I had a tick in mine and it was the pressure relief valve, had it replaced , nice and quiet now.

I had a ticking noise driving me crazy in my 01 f-150 ended up being a small hole in my exuhst manifold pluged it for a temp fix for now...
But I'm having a terrible problem with my 99 f-150 I love that truck too

Anyone found out how to fix this problem yet maybe it is the exhaust manifold? I heard it could make a ticking noise but I am not sure whatsoever

Ok I have the same problem and found out that it was my fuel injectors after fixing my exhaust manifold gasket and I still have the ticket so I started to listen with a sound stick by putting it on various parts of my truck and when I put it on the injectors I could clearly hear it coming from there so I pulled them off clean them out really good and ticking gone down a little bit
