Have an 06 f150 with a 2 inch front leveling kit and 17 inch wheels. What is the largest tire I could put on without rubbing. And I eventually want to get 20 inch wheels. What's the largest tire I could use then?

With a 2" leveling kit yoh should be able to fit at least 305s on the 17s. Not sure about the 20s

Just saying since I recently learned this from another member, the numbers like 305 and 295 are in mm and are the width of the tire, not the height/size, that's the smaller number like 65 or 70. Just wanted to clear that up lol.

That's absolutely right. The 65 and 70 are you aspect ratio. So on a 305-70-16 your tire is 305 mm wide and one half of your sidewall is 70% of your width. So add the two halves of your sidewall and your rim size and that's how you get the height.
