Have a 2006 f150 FX4 5.4L V8 TRITON and already have aftermarket dual exhaust. It is not "true dual". But I was thinking about taking off the cats. But if I do will I still have enough back pressure??

As long as you still have a muffler, yes. Even if you had true straight pipes you probably wouldn't notice the loss of torque unless you either race all the time or tow close to the max capacity for your truck.

Not that I'm complaining. But if u kill your cats. U will see that damn check engine light forever. But keep your muffler. As ryno said. You'll b fine if u keep the muffler. But if ur doin it? Throw a set of sick headers on it. Will sound awesome!!!

Yeah. A constant check engine light lol. And a decibel or two. But no power gain. Maybe a .5

There are stimulators that kill the CEL, but I don't see how removing them will benefit you. Some say they get louder but I've had mine replaced with Magnaflow high-flows and there is 0 difference for me. The repercussions is that you will have less sensors if your engine had some problems. I had a vac leak giving me the ominous P0171/P0174 code. It helped me track down the problem and get my mileage back. Without O2s, you could have problems and not know what they are.

My cat is bad drivers side. Got any recommendations for a new one or simulators I can make? Tired of check engine light, loss of power

I had both replaced on mine and it only costed $500 and they are magnaflows. But the guy I went to just cut they out and welded the new ones back in. All the out her shops cost around $1000 a side and that's cause they can't cut and weld as good so they get the whole piping system.

So try to find a person that can weld very good and get the cats separately
