Have a 2006 f150 and my fog lights went out the bulbs were fine so I checked the owners manual and it said that they ran off of the r202 relay but it said it was a "half ISO relay" and I don't know what that means. I also checked the 202 relay in the cab and it's fine.

An ISO relay is a complex name given to a normal relay. Just as Ford calls it: Body style S197, Mustang, some of us call it "Mustang" or just "car". ISO stands for Internation Standards Organization. It's kind of like CE or UL- they keep everything safe and up to standards on things. Specs ISO 7880 and 7588 are "ice cube" relays that we all know today. Most are rated at 30A.

Back to the problem at hand- HOW did you check the bulbs? Did you use a DMM/ohms meter and check against resistance? Looking at is isnt good enough. A 2mm break cannot be seen with the naked eye and I've seen some bulbs blow the contacts in the ceramic base too. If that does not work, check fuse 17. Again, using the ohm-meter for resistance across the terminals. If those check out good, then take the voltmeter to the switch.

Might want to let him know to only use the "ohm" setting with no power applied to the circuit.

I'm not sure how one would test the resistance across a filament without taking it out first, so that is implied

I checked the pigtail connectors and there is no electrical current coming thru them. I also bought new bulbs. But the gig light switch indicator lights up when I pullout on the switch to turn them on, so the switch is working I think. So now I just need to check the relay and fuse.

Relays hardly ever go out, unless its cheap or someone jimmied with the wiring. My bet is on the fuse, but I could be wrong. Let us know.
