Upgrade 84 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton

I'm wanting to make it to where my 1984 f150 would be able to haul more weight because I know for damn sure this 300 i6 can pull it but I just can't put much weight on the suspension. Would it be possible for me to put stronger leaf springs on it to increase weight capacity? And if so would I be able to get them off of any make like dodge or Chevy?

You can just add a leaf link and put in stiffer springs. Try and find a scrapped model year similar to yours and that should work.

That too^ I hope your not trying to haul like 4,000lbs. all while towing a trailer too.
