So with Christmas and all the good sales coming up I'm ready to get some replacement door speakers for my '05 Supercab. The previous owner blew out the two rear speakers so I want to replace those and while I'm at it might as well get new front ones as well. I'm not looking at getting subs or amps, just the door speakers. Any suggestions on brands you guys may have used (door speakers) and really like the sound quality? And I'm preferably looking for ones that fit in the doors so I don't have to cut or modify anything on the door panels. Thanks!

i put 4 Pioneer Premiere series speakers and a Pioneer hu in mine. i absolutely love the sound. it'd be better with an amp and a sub, but they are a huge improvement from stock lol

they look pretty cool through the door vents as well haha

I'm probably gunna keep the original radio or may wait longer if I get a new one. But did those speakers just pop into place of the old ones? No modifying or anything?

IIRC, my 98's had a size that is native to Ford/Mazda. It will say on the package, im not sure if its different for the NBS

So I'm going to have to modify the door panels? F***. Oh well if I want good sound quality I guess I'll have to do it.

How much did you have to modify the door panels to fit them? And awesome, I've been looking at Pioneer and Sony, just wanted some opinions because there's a lot of sales going on right now (better ones to come too lol).

Sweet, thats what I want. I hope it's the same for the '05 and the new body style. Minus subs an amps it'll still be great sound quality? And simple just unplug the old and plug in the new too, or some minor wiring required.

Minor wiring but yes. In and out

mine was just drop-in as well. no modifying the door. just cut the old connector off the wiring and solder to the new speakers

Awesome, thanks guys. I think Pioneer is where I'll be looking for speakers then. Saw a few places with their door speakers on sale, I'll start finding the best prices. Thanks again!

Hey Luke, since you have the same body style and interior setup as me, what were the size of your speakers that you got, and do you have the number/name of the setup from Pioneer?

my brain pretty much only stores calculus nowadays, but all 4 are the same size and are 6x9s if i remember correctly

as for name/part number i'll have to grab that for you tomorrow. they are Pioneer Premiere series, but i have a feeling that they are exclusive to the canadian market

Pioneers are great bang-for-your-buck stock replacements. They wont win any awards, but are excellent if you want more than stock and to keep it under two hundred

Sweet. U get a new head unit too? Er u just swap out speakers? I'd like to do that with my new one. New door speakers and put my amp and sub in. But I don't want to change the head at all. I'm hoping that there is some kind of RCA out put for a sub. Haven't even begun to check anything out yet. But I'm hoping
