Have a 2006 f150 FX4 off road and it has the 5.4L triton V8 and I want to know could I swap the motor out for a 5.0L coyote motor? Or would I have to switch the transmission too??

I think there was another thread about something like this, but it is possible. It'll just take a lot of work and $$$. You'll need the new motor of course, the Coyote's ECU, a new wiring harness and such, I think the motor mounts are different too, and if I remember correctly the 5.0 can hook up to the 4R70W transmission which is probably the one you have on your '06.

Forget the 5.0 Joe, do what you did before and swap for an unsupercharged 5.8L Shelby motor lol.

Nah. It's just a glorified 5.4. I'm over it. I think I goin 5.0. Whipple supercharged 5.0 10k delivered to my house
5.4 in the Shelby? Fantastic. Goin bigger turbos this off season. Just without the blower? No fun lol. Big power. Just needs more. And I want 21-21 mpg. No way in the 5.4. Thus. The 5.0 is where it's at
