Hey y'all I have honestly never been duck hunting but my buddy has a good place to go and I need to know what would be a really good shot gun to use that is a decent price.

Remington 870 or a Mossberg 500 would be my 2. Even here in overpriced California you can get one for under $400 if you go to the right place.

The Benelli Nova 12 gauge is a great gun. I'm in Northern California, and I've been them for $300. Shoots all shells from 2 3/4" target loads to 3 1/2" waterfowl loads, and slugs. It can easily be set up for deer hunting. There's different barrels you can get(short, long, rifled, etc)

I've got a buddy that has one, real nice shotgun for sure. My Mossberg 500 isn't too shabby, came with both a short and long barrel (18" and 28" I think). For the price I couldn't complain.
