So uh I kinda hit that little alarm button thing by the brake release. What exactly does it do?

Alarm button thing by the brake release? Is it the little switch that rolls up and down just to the right of the headlamp switch and to the left of the steering wheel? If so, that's just the timer for how long your cab lights stay on after you open the doors and close them without locking them (or after you hit the unlock button), and it also controls the brightness of the dash lights when you are driving with your headlights on. I think this is the button thing you are talking about. If it isn't then take a picture of it and post it, cause this is the only thing I can think of since it's icon is a timer.

yea that not a factory option...looks like a valet switch for an aftermarket alarm

Yeah that's what my father in law just told me. He also said you have to push it and turn the key at the same time? I'm just scared I turned it off when I accidentally hit it.
