Tailgate gets stuck halfway!

My tailgate gets stuck halfway, and I have to add force to bring it all the way down, it's scratching the paint on the tailgate too, my friend said it gets stuck on the roll pan

Sounds like something may b out of center. Or your roll pan could b out of center

It's. 2008, and no I don't do very much offloading

Any going off curbs hard or having your truck at awkward angles where it might tweak the frame? I've seen tests of truck's tailgates getting stuck or even smashed when too much strain is put on the frame.

Ok so this sorta thing just happined to me. On each side of your tailgate has a moon. Half moon and full moon. Well the full circle ( moon side) broke. Didn't have any grease in that little good fer nothing rubber bushing they provide u lol. Just had to weld it back on

This is the drivers side moon. Just cleane it up and welded it back on and primed it. Took me all of bout 20 mins.
Grease that moon in ur tailgate. Maybe it's lockin up. Mine did. Then it snapped. Thus ^ lol

Well Nevermind. U have an 08. Totally different set up. Lol. But grease it anyway.
