Sounds like the infamous valve tap. It's common. No worries. Just make sure your oil is at the fill line on your dipstick and change your oil normally Quite common in your motor

Either valve tick or cam phaser.. Typical issue...
Just keep up on Maintenance like joe said.. And use quality 5w20 oil

Modular engines have loud injector tick. Mine has a loud tick at idle when it is cold.

Aww the modular ticking well check all the info you can and get ready to spend most likely cam phasers or low oil psi at idle the list is long with these motors lots of poor engineering
Not to be to negative but these pos are costing people lots of money good luck

You're very negative about one incident. Buy an extended warranty and save yourself some money. Besides, if you keep up on scheduled maintenance and run the proper oil you can avoid many of the "poor engineering" or "common" problems.

Rhino hit the nail on the head. EVERYTHING breaks so warranty the **** out of it. i know its frustrating to have something as expensive as a vehicle break, but its a part of life and happens with any vehicle from any manufacturer

Exactly. Thank you.
Don't see how that engine is poorly designed at all.

Agreed, well except the spark plugs for the 3V engines, those were just terrible IMO.
