Do animated GIF files not work?

I believe plain GIF files work, but animated do not.

Please try now. If it doesn't work please let me know what kind of error message you get. Also realize that animated GIFs are usually larger in size and may exceed the file size limit.

No errors, it just sits there. You can see the avatar for me, but it does not do anything?

Are you having the server resize your avatar? Resizing animated GIFs is a more delicate procedure and should definitely be done prior to uploading it as your avatar.

This is all I get when I attach it. It lloks like my current avatar, but its animated.
