Best motor and tranny package

K so if u had a choice of picking a 5.4l with a auto tranny or a standard tranny or 4.6l with a auto or standard tranny. As for me I have the 5.4l standard tranny I'm a single cab

Although I love my 05 4.6L with auto, I would take a 5.4L auto anytime.

Not sure what the point of this thread is but. I would take the 5.4 with kinks worked out mated to a 6-speed standard transmission.

For those with a few bucks, you can drop the 4W70W in place of a ZF-6, I know a few guys with that combo. And one gentleman who decided to put a M5OD-R2 behind a 5.4L. I think he is on clutch #6
