    Unhappy a/c clutch wont kick in

    Hi I have a 2000 f-150,4.6 ltr.the air never worked when i first git it.The ac line set had rotted off,i replaced it and done a evac on the system. I started to put in the freon but the a/c clutch wont engage.checked all the fuses,and the diode,cant get any power to the clutch.I dont know what else to check.would be very happy if anyone could help me figuer out what to check next.thanks for your time.

    Test to make sure you're actually getting power at the compressor for it to engage the clutch.

    How good are you at reading schematics? I checked my 2000 expedition wiring book. Be sure that you have power on both sides of fuses. Use a volt meter. Check fuses #13, #19, #23and #105 40amp fuse. You've got a break somewhere. Start there, and don't replace parts without testing first. Do you have the repair CD?
