Oh I just changed the oil two months ago and it once a year change kind of oil
I think adding a different oil would be relatively risk free. Remember Amsoil does not make the products--they are a blender. They don't talk about what is in it and I am pretty sure it is the same stuff everyone else is using. Anyhow, there shouldn't be any chemical reactions that would cause any problems. My first thought was to use some other synthetic. My second thought was a regular oil might have the most inert properties and would only slightly dilute the amsoil. One for sure way is to either change it all or wait until you get some more. You probably know, but "low" means lower than the lower mark.
Amsoil is a blended oil product. I've run it before. Haven't had any probs. however. If that line is leaking. Fix it. It will save u 8$ a qt. or maybe it's burning if!?
Yeah that hose leaks about a qt a month just haven't had any cash for repairs lately you how it goes
