I've changed the EGR valve, sensor, and checked for vacuum leaks.
So what's next? I've heard that it maybe running to lean. I don't know what to do about that.

Scan for CEL? How many miles? is it bone stock?

I don't know what you mean by CEL. Yes it is stock with 168k on it. I've found that there was a tech bulletin (5173) on error codes P1131/P1151 which was what I found with a scanner.
I was told to replace the knock sensor since that was the next probable cause. I think I found it off the very back of the block. Trouble is getting to it.
Any suggestions?
