    That sucks a lot. Just helping a friend replace one on his 2.0L Inline 4 Neon sucked. That thing was easy access too.

    Took it up to a guy that remans heads and he pointed out three distinct cracks inbetween the valves. $200 for a new one.

    ----------

    New head was $170 with springs and valves in it, so it is on its way. Just gotta send the core back to them. Still need head gasket, head bolts, exhaust gasket, and lower intake gasket, as well as coolant, ANOTHER oil change (I just did one a week ago), and power steering fluid. Another $100 or so and I should be back on the road.

    that sucks. Atleast you didn't have to buy a new motor

    That sucks! But at least you figured it out so it won't happen again. And you should be up and running in no time.
