I have a stock 5.0L EFI in a 1990 Bronco 5-speed 4x4, ive gone up to larger tires and a lift with some 4.88 gearing, the 5.0 seems to hit its stride in the higher rpms though, not exactly great for the lower speed trails. Seem to burn the clutch a bit more than id like trying to keep the engine in the sweet spot to pull smoothly in the technical areas. Just looking for ways to bring the tourque curve to a lower rpm so im on the throttle less and still have a good pull at or just above idle. Was thinking of a cam or a small Low boost forced induction, but im curious what can be done on a stock block and bottom end without endangering the engine or killing reliabillity.
