Are you allowed to say that? While I totally agree, it is kind of an unpopular point.

Many forum's members will really come after anyone who says "Nothing is free. Turbos come along with unpredictable boost spikes, boost leaks, fuel nightmares, etc... But a super charger is one tune... All weather."

There are a lot of people out there with financial interests. This is the only sight where the quoted talk wouldn't get a bunch of ecoboosters arguing about the benefits of turbo charging. I had this discussion in the 70's and haven't seen any reason to change my opinion:

    1. Turbos add power. 2. When you compress the air fuel mixture with the turbos, it creates inefficiency (that is why the larger 3.7 gets better MPG even though it isn't direct injected) That is on the EPA simulated course requiring the same power. 3. Pushing more HP out of a smaller engine is going to cause shorter engine life. 4. If you want to tow like a diesel, get a diesel. 5. "V8 power with v6 economy" is a great slogan; It is not truthful, but I get it.
